When I was young Adriano Celentano was one of my music idols. All people says:" That's a mad man"; but thanks to his image, or because he was as a 'beat boy' an imitation of Elvis Presley, (as the 90% of singers in all the world that plays rock'n Roll music). But Adriano has a personal 'style'; a mix between Jerry Lewis and, Elvis, a very explosives mix, these are the reasons why Adriano Celentano was always in success; He starts in the firsts of '60's; to sing a rock'n roll song in a famouse scene into "La dolce vita", by direction of Fellini; after that his career will never has stops He is one of most famous Italian Singer in the World. He is always in Italian Television, as gueststar in many tv-shows; but he makes also fims as protagonist, but not 'music films' but film comedies that I don't like He starts as farmer boy, in "Rufino" that comes from Country and goes in a big City. He is one of first 'ecologists' and takes big attention to problems that comes together industrial development in Italy and, with that 'clichè' in all '80's He continues to makes that kind of films. A (good) day; I don't know why, in the firsts of '90's He demonstres to all Italian pubblic and all the world that he is a very big artist. Doesn't more copies from american's successes, but a very italian sound. His love's harrowing ballades are the best retourn to italian traditional sound and content. While the big scandal around Italian politic of 1991 'mani pulite', where many politics and business men goes to prison for corruption crimes, Adriano Celentano has an incredible succes as 'show man' in Tv music-show that Celentano transforms in "Solo of protest" versus corruption of politic and versus all politics in general, in a very retoric way; in that period he loves to call himslf the "King of illetterates".; that will be a title of an album..In the last music show, finally Celentano stops to speak of politics and presents only his last 'album' ( 2008, Spring).

and on the itaian fan club of him, have i a Nickname: the famous new wife of Adriano. thats because i LOVE Adriano's music AND Adriano himself. he's cool.

Yeah, he's the master grandaddy of Italian cool (so grandad isn't a bad thing in that context!), the most Italian of all italian singers, the guy who started it all for Bella Italia and put Italy on the map of international music. Starting from his early days to his more recent works, he is just unbelievably g-r-e-a-t.
