Mina, is called "Cremona's Tiger", Cremona is a town, where she borns, 65 years ago, on 1940.
The succes is incredible, She went in '60's and '70's the best interpreter of best italian authors.
Lucio Battisti comes to success thanks to Mina, after she sings his songs.
For to allows Italian Tv traditions, She becomes a Tv anchor-woman: her shows went in Saturday Night.
Mina comes to 'Festival of Italian Music', Sanremo only 2-3 times, obviosly she cannot sings becouse she'd wins everydays!.
In my Country, she was - and now she is still - very loved.
In 1974-75 she did not show more to Italian pubblic, and in 1978 stopped to exit to her home nd to meet journalists.
Italian's paparazzi and all the journalists of the world comes for her too hard to tolerates.
Her voice is incredible. and now, with more years and maturity, is better than before.

I started listening to Mina already when I was in the womb of my mother. My parents were fans of Mina, especially my father who was also a musician, a jazz trumpeter.
My first years of life, then, was accompanied by the voice of Mina, and this may have altered my opinion on her gods and her voice, even my name, Massy was chosen as the son of Mina was named Massimiliano !
Massimiliano Pani, the son of Mina is only 2-3 years older than me, but like many other children at the time were called Massimiliano as a tribute to the most beautiful female Italian voice.
Mina's son, Massimiliano, studied piano at the Conservatory and graduated music teacher about 20 years. Massimiliano Pani was very significantly to the music for Mina, as he wrote and arranged many songs he sang then Mina, and this since 1980 .

I also love her voice!! Great Italian music is no longer being made as everyone around the world is seek to go main stream. What a shame! I believe we should go back to the time of Luigi Tenco and further back when music was music. Thank you for you posting.
I disagree: even today there are great singers and great authors of music in Italy and most of them are also young. This is starting to know them and appreciate them, so we need to start listening to appreciate them, thanks for the comment.
When Mina sings you can1t imagine that songs are 30-40 years old it sounds so great today..Parole parole
