The POOH group formed in '66; the name comes from Winnie the Pooh, from Disney cartoons, the group changed many elements and from '71 has the same musicians of today. In these years who makes music MUST to write 'important' or 'care' texts, but Pooh becomes famouses for love songs ( but they wrote also political songs). For that reason Pooh group considerated, in all their career only a Band for teenagers and for commercial songs. I remember very well who hear Pooh was only girls and if someone hear them was considerated a stupid person. That strange thing was also for others artists in Italy: the reason was political: there were years of "political care", but music is for fun and entartainment wins on 'political care'... The Pooh's kind of music is "melodic rock" and in '77, after many success they starts to makes big concerts that with Tv and radios helps them to be always in 'top 10' for many many years. I don't like that group also if I must said that they has been one of most popular Italian groups. In these days, after 40 years of career, they makes an album with best 'beat' songs: I think will be a good album: in "Beat Re-Generation" will be the most famouses and beautiful songs from all Italian Groups and Singers just from '63-'64 to '73-'74. I think it will be a sure success.
