"Toto+Cutugno" Sanremo "greatest+hits"TOTO CUTUGNO that year will partecipates for 15th times to Sanremo Music Festival. He wins in 1980 with "Solo Noi". He borns in '43 in a little town in Marche, a region near Umbria. He sings and writes sometime music, sometime text for him or/and for others singers, as Adriano Celentano with the song "Soli", a big success. The true story is that: Toto Cutugno is a Celentano's fan: his voice is very similar to Celentano's voice (very similar) and, when he becomes famous will writes many songs for Celentano because is very easy write for him, it's the same thig write for himself.. Is the '83, when in Sanremo presents L'Italiano: an incredible success: for 7-8 month in Italy all radios plays 'l'Italiano' and that song is confused by ex-Urss repubblic's emigrants as Italian's Anthem!.. Is very easy to remind it and the words are easy to pronunce for the languages of East Countries, in that time l'Italiano begans as a sort of Anthem of West Countries (communism down only few years ago) for peoples who lives for years under communism: "L'Italiano" sells millions discs in Russia and in all ex-Urrs Repubblics. Toto Cutugno was not very loved in my Country. I know is more appreciate in other countries that in Italy. Why? Is very difficult to explain it. Cutugno becomes famous in first '80's, when for to be a good singer or Author you must be also a political 'care', He wrote very beautiful songs, but He is unpleasant, he wrote text as before of '60's all love, family and religion.
