JENNY B. (real name Giovanna) borns in Catania on 1972 from Senegalese father and sicilian mother, but only few years old, Jenny B. adopted by new family in Emilia Romagna.
One of first works, is the Corona's project, an italian disc-music project of '90's, were Jenny was the voice, the career of Jenny continues, she sing in many groups, but is only in 2000, in Sanremo festival music show, where Jenny winned young category.
Jenny B.'s voice , is one of most interesting and power italian female voice.
Jenny B., I think, could be considerated the best Italian pop-music female voice , and the only one could becames great as Mina .

SAVAGE - ROBERTO ZANETTI

SAVAGE, real name Roberto Zanetti, borns in Massa - Tuscany - on '56 and stars to play piano very young; as other musicians, he will plays together many groups of his region.
After to play keyboards in many italian groups, as Zucchero 'Sugar' Fornaciari, his big friend, in 1983 Roberto Zanetti decide to produce himself, with name 'Roby', the song 'Don't Cry Tonight', He'll sings it as Savage; that is the first of many success, In '80's italian disc-music appreciate in Countries of East- Europe, in these contries - as Russia - they call it "italo disco"; in the video-playlist below, we can see Russia's pubblic to remember singers as Savage better than in Italy; in east Europe Country, still now, '80's italo disco singers, are legends.

GAZEBO - PAUL MAZZOLINI

GAZEBO , real name PAUL MAZZOLINI borns in Beirut on '60, he retourns quickly in Italy , his real Country; his father was an Italian diplomatic, and the mother was a not famous American singer: Gazebo couldn't to become than a musician; more specific a music author and a singer of his songs.

In '80's disc-music or 'disco dance music', was played in all Italy, all boys want to becomes Dee-jay and in every room - as today there is a desktop Pc - in '80's was a 'mixer', also if the most part of our house was only a good stereo and we were happy however .
Gazebo, after to has been pubblished by an italian talent-scout and producer, with the song 'Master piece" ( n. 3 of video-playlist below) has had a big success.
The success of italian disc-dance music went also in Russia, in Europe, in South America...
The italian disc-music market has its laws: Singers and authors could to use only their new english names; they must to said to becomes from UK (or Usa), but the big part of pubblic, for example, knows the real name of Raf only after many years from his first success...
Of course that had it reasons. if a simple new italian singer start to make disc-music the pubblic didn't buy his discs, also if the song was good: disc-music come from Usa and only Usa's singers and authors could to make good disco dance music !!1
Course that law is still live; in the most part of markets and for everything to sell.
If I talk bout 'Gazebo' someone can remember, but if I talk about "Paul mazzolini" none remember of him..
That's the reasons why many Italian singer of disc music, after the first success didn't not more...
Even big artists as Raf and Spagna didn't betrayed these laws: still now they use their 'artistic names'.
GAZEBO, owever, still sings and produces song, also if without the same success then a time...

MARCO MASINI

MARCO MASINI borns in Florence in 1964 and now is an Italian song-writer.
Success becames after his first sanremo, with the song "Perchè lo fai" (Why You do it?), a story of an heroin-girl.
That song, is a sort of Masini's sign: many of others of his songs will be very romantic and 'disperates', as the song "Disperato"...
Also I don't love him, Masini wrote many beautiful songs, with great melodies, to respect the 'Traditional Italian Music's Style', with a text very easy to remember, but the words...
The contents of Masini's songs are too negatives, too disperates, without hope...
That is the reason why many songs of Marco Masini were considerated unlucky...
That stupid superstition has been a problem for Masini. many albums didn't sell and many tv-shows didn't whant to him, but finally, years after that stupid things ended and now Marco Masini's concerts are full of fans.

MIETTA

MIETTA , borns in Taranto, Puglia, (South Italy ) on 1969, she is a singer and an actress.
Mietta - Daniela Miglietta is her really name, is a very beautiful woman.
Mietta is a typical Italian Female Beauty - black air, black eyes, marked lines of her facial, a 'big' phisic, a 'Sophia Loren' model, or, better, where find on "The Birth of Venere" the state of the art of that 'kind' of beauty...
The beauty helps her to start to work as model when she was 20 years old; thanks her poweful voice she winned a vocal-competition, where there were 3,000 Young singers, and, on 1988, Mietta wins Sanremo for Youngs with 'Canzoni' ( 'Songs' n.1 of video-playlist), wrote by Amedeo Minghi; the year later, arrives 3rd in Sanremo, together Amedeo Minghi with the song: 'Vattene amore' ('Go away, my love', song n. 2 of video-playlist) , a love song very easy to remind, and with a tongue-twister, that all Italy sungs for many months....
Collaboration with Minghi continues, and, after 1990, Mietta starts to work as actress in many projects and, after, in many serial-tv, demostrating a good talet to play a role in movies and serial-tv.
The Mietta's career as singer, is the first of her works, and now, she still to sing in Sanremo ( last time on 2008) , to make CD , but also to be 'show-woman' in talk-shows on Tv as 'opinionist' ( that now become a really work...)

AMEDEO MINGHI

AMEDEO MINGHI is a very famous italian singer and music author.
Amedeo Minghi borns in Rome on '47; He recorded his first disc on 1966, he sing and write many many songs, - for himself and others Italian Singers and Groups - , but is only on 1983, in Sanremo Music Festival - of course - he becomes famouse with '1950' , the song n. 4 of that video - playlist below.
The song '1950' is one of most beautiful italian songs and Minghi will rests on that 'particular style': Minghi's style...
As '1950', his songs talks about the past, the love, or about a woman, or describes specific moments, or 'special places', wherevery important for "The Love" - For example in the video playlist below where I added 12 music-videos, there is only one song doesn't talks about love. "Un uomo venuto da molto lontano" (A man come from far away) made many years ago, and dedicated to Papa Woytila - Minghi is very religious man -, when Pope Giovanni Paolo XXIII° made an historical pop-music concert in Vaticano - we will pubblish it soon as possible - .
